En die stapel werd natuurlijk steeds hoger en hoger. En al had ik me begin 2008 toch echt voorgenomen om nu echt, nee, nu echt écht, m’n administratie keurig elke maand bij te houden, omdat het anders zo’n kutwerk is; dat goede voornemen was ik dus ergens in juni 2008 alweer vergeten. Want, ja, ach, 1 maandje overslaan, kon best, vond ik. En die ene maand werden er 2 en die werden er 3 en uiteindelijk zit ik hier dus tegen een achterstand van 7 maanden administratie aan te staren. En nu weet ik dat ik gewoon nu moet gaan beginnen. Nu. Nu! En dat ik dan strakjes, aan het einde van de dag, of misschien morgenmiddag, dat ik dan heel erg opgelucht en trots ben. Dat ik misschien zelfs zal denken; goh, was dat nou alles? Heb je daar nou al die maanden tegenop gezien? Maar op dit moment kan ik me er gewoon niet toe zetten. En ook de 5 bakken koffie die ik net, als steuntje in m’n rug, naar binnen heb gewerkt hebben me nog niet doen besluiten om de eerste stap te zetten. En nu doe ik al weken niks. Geen reet. Niks tastbaars dan, voor m’n gevoel. Ik had even een soort van vakantie. Soort van even tot mezelf komen. Soort van toegeven dat ik toch misschien wel ergens een beetje lichtelijk overspannen was. Maar starend naar de liaspen begin ik sterk te verlangen naar een jaartje helemaal sabbatical.
